    9 Facts You Should Know About Bluefin Tuna

    The Red Tuna of the Strait® is one of the largest, fastest and most spectacular fish in the world. It is considered a protected species of controlled fishing.

    1. A Good Giant

    It can reach 3.60m in length. The largest registered was captured in Nova Scotia and weighed 679 kg.

    2. Very Fast

    Their hydrodynamic bodies are designed for speed and low resistance to water. They swim at average speeds of 5.9 km / h and a maximum of between 13 and 40 km / h.

    3. Big Stomachs

    Its high energy consumption makes it very voracious, feeding on fish, such as mackerel, anchovies and sardines as well as squid and crustaceans.

    4. Rising Sun

    5. Millions of Eggs
